COVID-19 Field Guide: A Valuable Tool for Frontline Clinicians
In response to arrival of the novel coronavirus in the US, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) formed a working group filled with staff and emergency physicians to take information from its COVID forum (fueled by on-the-ground physicians & providers across the nation), combined with research studies that were being published daily, to develop the Field Guide to Managing COVID-19 in the Emergency Department. In just 12 days, the team “wrote the book” on acute care for COVID-19, developing an online field guide that was a living resource, updated daily as more was learned about the virus and best practices.
