Tax-Exempt Organizations Data

To fully understand the scope and breadth of the tax-exempt community, the report below highlights every tax-exempt organization in the United States. Utilizing data reported by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Exempt Organization Business Master File Extract (EO BMF) includes information about tax-exempt classification codes, location, and revenue.  On the main page, you are able to filter the data by 501(C) type and organization size by revenue for every state. You can right click on any graph in the data and click “drill through” to get the list of every tax-exempt organization. Although the IRS data is updated monthly, due to fiscal years and filing dates, this data can possibly be up to two years old. We encourage you to use this data as a trending tool to find an association or better understand the impact of the full community.
