Help Share the Power of Associations with Policymakers
ASAE’s advocacy efforts are funded in large part by The Power of Associations Advocacy Fund, which is supported by industry professionals who acknowledge the importance of having our voices heard on issues that impact the association community.
Contributions to The Power of Associations Advocacy Fund make it possible for ASAE to educate and engage lawmakers and the administration on a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues – everything from tax reform and changes to overtime eligibility to travel policies that affect association meetings.
Connecting with policymakers is an ongoing need, as associations can contribute to the policymaking process on issues of all kinds. We always have our eyes trained on national, state and local policy developments that impact associations and their ability to carry out important work.
Advocacy (both grassroots outreach and direct lobbying) is just one critical function supported by The Power of Associations Advocacy Fund. The Fund also supports:
- Research on the value and scope of associations
- The Power of Associations Awards, including the Summit Awards Dinner
- American Associations Day (ASAE’s Legislative Fly-In)
- Legal actions on issues impacting associations
- ASAE’s Alliance Forum Speaker Series
ASAE created The Power of Associations to serve as the association industry’s brand – not ASAE’s. The Power of Associations is a platform for all associations to educate audiences such as Congress, membership and the media about what associations do on a daily basis to strengthen society – how we serve a vital purpose and how our organizations have expertise and knowledge that can be applied to solving the world’s most pressing problems.
