Competencies for LGBTQ-Affirmative Counseling Program
The American Counseling Association (ACA) earned the 2018 ASAE Power of Associations Summit Award for its Competencies for LGBTQ-Affirmative Counseling initiative, which provides free online learning modules to school counselors and other youth-serving professionals to help them better understand the experiences and world views of their LGBTQ clients and students, as well as help them prepare LGBTQ youth for higher education and the workplace.
